Hey Bones,

Feel free to PM and we can chat if you want over the phone about optics, but really depends on what you are looking for in the optic meanin...are you looking for a duplex style hunting scope or a tactical style scope (that can also be used for hunting) if tactical style do you prefer your dials to be in MOA or Mils, first focal plane or second focal plane... and so on.

Here is a recommendation I will make...the company is called Vortex and they have one of the best products for the money on the market. I would look at their scopes and determine what you are interested in

I recommend you looking at the Viper PST model in the second focal plane. comes in 4-16 and 6-24 variable powers...if only looking to shoot out 500 yds the 4-16 is plenty of power. They also give LE discounts

If you are looking to spend less than that look into Bushnells series of scopes thay are begining to produce some great scopes...

If you share a price range I will add some more recommendations.

Good luck man...7mm is a super awesome round...one of the flattest in the world.
