Great Night in the Deer woods

Unread postby Phillyarcher » Wed Oct 24, 2018 5:24 pm

Got into stand early yesterday. Got set up and within an hour at my first action. Had a Doe come in but no shot. A few minutes later I had another come in and she was about 15 yards and the arrow flew. She diappeared and I heard crash. A little while later I seen movement off to my right in thick cover and out popped a Buck that was walking away. I used a grunt call that I got from Mike Koble and turned him around. Has he got closer it was a small rack. So I grunted again and from the field I had a spike come running in. Well he came right under my stand. I caught a glimpse in the field and seen two more Bucks coming my way. I grunted again they closer but would not come into the woods.after a good bit I grunted some more then pissed the 8 off and he came right to me about 12 yard shot. I ended the night with a Buck and a Doe. Here are pics.

Thanks guys. Tollkeeper I think RR is close. I did not measure but think he is about 18" spread and his G-3 tines look about 9" -10".
