Hunting and Fishing Namiba

Hunting and Fishing Namiba

Unread postby njhuntingguide » Thu Jan 29, 2015 9:47 pm

This was my first trip to Namiba. For plains game Namiba is the way to go. The price of the hunt is alot cheaper then all the other country in Africa . Plus the plane ticket isnt much more then South Africa. I would rate the hunt a 8 . Only reason it wasnt a 10 was because the outfitter did some stuff I Didnt like. If u are planing on going out there hunting . I would bring warm cloths that was one of the mistake i made on my first Africa trip. Its very cold at nites. For the animals I think Kudo was the best animal to hunt on this trip and second would be the enland . I use a .223 for the small stuff and .308 168grain bullet on the bigger stuff on this hunt had no problem knocking everything down. If u want to hunt small cats at nite.I would try to bring a shotgun with 4 buck. I miss a nice lynx because it was running to fast for me to get him in the scope at nite. The food and lodging was a 10. No place in USA even comes close to how they treat u in Africa. Fishing is unreal pretty much drop and real action all day. Some of pixs from the trip

you would think with all the money you spend on hunts out of the country you would buy a shirt and one that fits you damn im tired of seeing you posing with animals topless
45 lb Hoyt Dorado Recurve ( at my draw length its right about 50 lbs)
500 Gold Tip traditional xt arrows
Grizzly Stik silver flame and Maasai broadheads

Cool. You must have a ton of mounts. I'd like a kudu.
