Flounder Report Barnegat Bay
We have finally started to see steady catches up here in the bay! With no closed season this year, its a chance to find some of the bigger fish as they move in.
Sandworms and bloodworms are the 2 top choices, but we wanted to add that mussels and nightcrawlers will also work about the same! While they are a cheaper choice, they still produce fish.
One of my favorite spots is at the mouth of the canal up in the Bayhead area. The fish will funnel through the canal and its the only entrance up here to the bay where they will spend the winter. Its a great day for the kids, as your inside with calm waters, wind is not as bad as the open ocean and your always close to home.
grab some bait, and DONT FORGET THE CHUM LOGS!!!!! That $3 chum log will be the difference between catching and watching!!!
