After 10 straight days of work, I had today off. What better way to kick off a long holiday weekend than with an early sod bank bass busting trip. High tide was 6:11 am so I left the house about 3:35 am. Turns ou it may have been a little late. First cast was around 4:30am, and shortly after, I had landed 2, and missed another after a pretty violent blow up. Top water was the ticket before the boat traffic picked up. Ya have to pick and choose your spots, when tide and low traffic are in sync, but it's proving to be a good mix.

I was out on a tuna trip last week fri 7/30 to be exact guys that were with us where cleaning tuna at our dock and put a rod out while doing so.they had 6 fish all under sized 24-26'' with one running under dock and breaking off which surely was a keeper .I am surprised to see not one report since yours on 7/1 with such a fun easy fishery. i love to take kids or new anglers out for these trips .I surely love to watch a striper chase a plug but hearing a clicker zing from a runoff chunking is just as fun to me and i seem to find the bigger bass this way
