The big girls are showing up

The big girls are showing up

Unread postby Nevermoor » Thu Nov 24, 2016 6:58 am

My log from last year said I got my first bug bass on November 25th. So when the wind dropped out yesterday in the PM I grabbed two of my sons and we ran out to the 3 mile line and put out a spread of MoJo's. Not my favorite type of fishing but it works.

This big girl cooperated and after a few minutes of rod bending Mike had his first bass of the year.

A quick measurement, she was 43", and a photo and she went back in to breed again.
My biggest fear is that when I die my wife will sell my guns and fishing rods for what I told her I paid for them.

They must all be in the ocean, they've disappeared from the inlets!

There have not been bass inside of GE except for small local fish for several years. Even these bigger fish mostly stay outside the 3 mile line. Last year was an exception and we had them for 3 weeks. I sure hope it repeats this year but so far the only guys catching consistently are the bandits fishing in federal water.

I thought guys caught them surf fishing into December. I am planning on jumping in one more time maybe.
