First striper of the season
It's been a slow start this year with cold water temps and constant wind. But my son Dave and I got out today for an afternoon trip. We fished with a local charter guy who really knows his stuff. We worked hard for 4 hours and covered a lot of back water.
This was no pleasure trip. 51 degree water, 52 degree air temps, NE wind and fog made it less than ideal. But I did manage to break the ice and land my first three stripers for 2016. But boy was I frozen when we got in.
I'm looking forward to a great year.

My biggest fear is that when I die my wife will sell my guns and fishing rods for what I told her I paid for them.
