Good luck, pretty hard to find native cedars. I planted a bunch a few years ago that came from our county's ( gloucesters) agricultural extension. They have a whoesale program for those in the forest programs every year or two.

Unfortunately unless you tube every seedling ( or better yet fence and area until they are 6-10 feet tall) the deer will destoy them almost instantly. Mine were gone in less than two weeks. As many deer as you kill, the other still heavily browse their preferred foods. Most forests in south jersey have very little diversity in the understory because of this. Lots of Laurel and holly which the deer don't like much..........

The state fenced a few acres south of Atsion a few years back. It was amazing how well the cedars grew. Everywhere else was a wasteland. They took the fence down a year or two and the area is doing great and absolutely filled with deer sign.

Good luck looking and let me know if you find a good source.

Perfect! What county are you in? They should have a program to reforest and may even cover the cost of the trees.

I am looking for oak varieties that will start producing quicker than others. I know the same thing everyone wants, I just don't know which oak from which nursery will give me the quickest results, thanks
