Hollowpoints in New Jersey

Hollowpoints in New Jersey

Unread postby hunterbud » Wed Mar 18, 2015 6:34 pm

So in New Jersey hollow point rounds are illegal and you'll be thrown in jail just for having them, but I can hunt with them for coyotes. Cops will lock me up, but the game warden will just check me and say have a nice day. So which is it? I'm getting my .223 set up and I want to use 69 grain boat tail hollow points from Winchester. Anybody have any idea as to which it really is? I'd rather not go to jail...

Hollow points are not illegal in NJ ... I just bought some off the shelf a month ago.. As the guy at the store put it " they are only illegal if you use them to commit a crime ". Just like any other bullet would be ...

Not sure i thought it was only illegal in handguns. Not sure. Dont read much laws cuz none make sense. Well only 3 make sense. 1. Only kill or injure people in self deffence. 2. Dont drive drunk. 3. Dont shoot deer at night with spotlights. The rest are garbage.

As far as self defense with hanguns, you can use hollow points at home. Just make sure your not carrying them in your glove box. The police will lock you up. Welcome to our liberal anti gun state!
Just think, mrs clinton will most likely carry obamas anti gun legislations torch! :(

Great article...

I just saw this post and wanted to say the biggest issue with being in your car is you have to be going to range or going directly home to have in the car. If you make a pit stop somewhere and get pulled over you have to explain why.
