Looking for help with a gun

Unread postby JustinxLayer » Fri Sep 04, 2015 9:14 pm

Im really into duck hunting and im looking for a new gun around 500-700 dollars. I was looking at the Benili super nova but i don't know whether its going to jam up hunting in salt water. Please leave comments on gun ideas for me to get to duck hunt in salt water with.

Remington 1100 is a nice choice
Duck hunting is harsh on guns no matter what u get u need to really clean your gun after every trip to avoid complications.
If your looking for something cheaper 870 synthetic stock get a steel shot choke tube for it.
I'm sure someone on here can give u a little more advice

Like Bones said marsh hunting is tough on anything especially guns. Whatever you do make sure you get one with a good finish. Some companies (Remington) have gotten cheap on their finishes/blueing and your gun will look like a carrot a half hour into your hunt. And definitely spray it down after every hunt inside and out. I don't think you can go wrong with a Benelli.

Look at the beretta 300 outlander. you won't be able to shoot 3 1/2" shells but you don't need to anyhow. Its a quality gun for duck hunting right at the high end of your price range
